Ingredients
- Cilantro - 3 stems
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Spanish onions - 2 pieces
- Cucumbers - 3 pieces
- Scallions - 1 bunch
- Parsley - 1 bunch
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Red Long Chili Peppers - ½ teaspoon
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Walnuts - 2.3 oz
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Red Wine Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Khmeli-suneli - ½ teaspoon
- Ground coriander - ¼ teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Saffron - 3 stems
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the sauce, place the nuts, pepper, garlic, salt, saffron in a blender or mortar and grind until smooth. Chop the cilantro and add it along with the khmeli-suneli and coriander to the nut mixture.
Step 2
Mix thoroughly. Boil 120 ml of water and mix it with the vinegar. Then dilute the nut mixture with the hot liquid, stirring constantly.
Step 3
For the salad, cut the cucumbers into strips, the tomatoes into wedges, and the onion into rings. Finely chop the herbs. Arrange the cucumbers and tomatoes on a plate, sprinkle with onion, pepper, and herbs, and drizzle with vinegar. Before serving, pour the nut sauce over the salad.
