Description
No spices are needed here, as the mayonnaise and cheese will provide salt and a spicy flavor after baking. The mushrooms and tomatoes will release a lot of juice, so don't be alarmed and try to over-dry the casserole. This will only make it more tender. It may fall apart if the cheese and mayonnaise don't hold it together — that's also not a problem. It will still taste good 'in the overall mix.'
Ingredients
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 2 pieces
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Ham - 10.6 oz
- Canned Truffles - 1 can
- Hard Cheese - 14.1 oz
- Mayonnaise - 12.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the chicken breast with a teaspoon of salt and let it cool.
Step 2
Cut all the ingredients, including the cooled chicken, into small pieces, trying to keep them uniform in shape and size, and grate all the cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Grease a baking dish with butter and lay down the first layer of grated cheese, spreading mayonnaise evenly on top to create the 'bottom of the casserole.'
Step 4
Layer the chicken, ham, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Between each layer, sprinkle some cheese and add a thin layer of mayonnaise.
Step 5
Repeat until the dish is full, ensuring that cheese and mayonnaise are on top. (LEAVE A LITTLE SPACE AT THE TOP SO THE JUICE FROM THE DISH DOESN'T OVERFLOW INTO THE OVEN).
Step 6
Place in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 15–20 minutes, so the top layer is browned but not burnt. After baking, remove and let it cool, but this is not necessary.
