Tri-Tip Steak
Ingredients
- Beef Tri-Tip - 12.3 oz
- Olive Oil - 1½ tablespoons
- Olive Oil - 1½ teaspoons
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - ½ teaspoon
- Mild Chili Spice - 0.3 teaspoons
- Flaky sea salt - a pinch
- Pink Himalayan Salt - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Let the meat rest at room temperature for 5–10 minutes.
Step 2
Brush each side with oil.
Step 3
Place the steak on a dry, hot skillet with a pinch of coarse salt.
Step 4
Once the bottom side is browned, flip it over.
Step 5
After 2–3 minutes, flip again and season with the pepper blend. Reduce the heat.
Step 6
Cover with a lid.
Step 7
After 5–7 minutes, flip the steak.
Step 8
Season with ground chili.
Step 9
Drizzle mustard oil over the meat.
Step 10
After 3 minutes, remove from heat and slice into 1.5 cm thick pieces.
Step 11
Serve on a plate with herbs.
Step 12
Sprinkle with coarse pink salt and add a pinch of the pepper blend. Ready!
