Ingredients
- Trout - 2 lbs
- Potato - 17.6 oz
- 10% cream - 3 fl oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Carrot - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - a pinch
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Sauté the finely chopped garlic in it for a couple of minutes to release its aroma. Add a tablespoon of flour, lightly sauté, and then add the cream, stirring vigorously. Once the sauce thickens, add a bit of boiled water and seasonings: salt, bay leaf, and a pepper mix. Bring the sauce to a boil, turn off the heat, and cover with a lid. Next, sauté the grated carrot with the onion.
Step 2
Slice the potatoes into medium-thick rounds. Arrange them in a baking dish, adding salt, pepper, and a little vegetable oil. Place the fish on top of the potatoes, lightly seasoning it with salt, then add the carrots and onions on top of the fish, and finally, drizzle with garlic sauce.
Step 3
Bake for 40–45 minutes at 356°F.
