Description
Turkey in honey-mustard sauce
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 1½ kg
- Honey - 5.3 oz
- Dijon Mustard - 3.5 oz
- Vinegar essence - 2 spoons
- Vegetable Oil - 2 spoons
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the meat. Poke it in several places with a knife (this helps the meat absorb the marinade better), but do not cut it.
Step 2
Mix honey, mustard, vinegar, oil, and salt in a bowl.
Step 3
Transfer the meat to a bowl, ensuring it is almost completely covered with the marinade. Let it sit for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight (it's best to turn the meat a few times, as this helps it absorb the marinade better).
Step 4
Transfer the meat to a baking dish, pouring the marinade into a bowl while leaving just a little at the bottom of the dish. Cover the dish with foil - this will help keep the meat juicy.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 482°F and roast the turkey at this temperature for 10 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 150-338°F and continue roasting for another 50 minutes. After that, remove the foil, lightly baste the turkey with the marinade from the bowl, and leave it for an additional 15 minutes.
Step 6
The meat is ready. Slice it and drizzle with the marinade from the dish or bowl - serve on the table.
