Description
Turkey on Zucchini Bed with Buckwheat
Ingredients
- Turkey - 14.1 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Young zucchini - 1 piece
- Spices - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the onion in your preferred style and place it in a warm skillet lightly coated with vegetable oil. Sauté for a couple of minutes over low heat.
Step 2
Peel the zucchini and cut it into small pieces. Add the zucchini to the onion and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally without increasing the heat.
Step 3
Remove the sinews from the turkey meat and cut it into cubes. Add it to the skillet. Mix everything, season with salt, and add spices to your liking.
Step 4
Pour 0.5 cup of regular water into the skillet and simmer for 30 minutes, covered. Remember to periodically check the liquid level and add water if necessary. The meat should not be fried!
Step 5
While the meat is simmering, cook the buckwheat (using a ratio of 1 cup of buckwheat to 2 cups of water — this serves 2-3 portions). Add the rinsed buckwheat to boiling water, cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, add a piece of butter, turn off the heat, and let the buckwheat sit covered for another 15 minutes.
