Description
You can use frozen spinach (about 300 g), and you can substitute turkey fillet with chicken. Instead of flour, use breadcrumbs. Additional flour or breadcrumbs will be needed for coating the patties.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 17.6 oz
- Spinach - 1 bunch
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 2 spoons
- Nutmeg - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Make ground turkey from the turkey fillet.
Step 2
Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 4 minutes, then drain in a colander and let the water completely drain off. Cool to room temperature and slice into strips with a sharp knife.
Step 3
You can also use frozen spinach. In this case, it should be thawed in a colander beforehand to allow any excess liquid to drain off. Then, squeeze it out a little more.
Step 4
Place the chopped spinach in a bowl, add the minced meat, 2 eggs, and flour (or breadcrumbs). Season with salt and pepper, and mix until all ingredients are combined. The mixture should be thick and hold its shape.
Step 5
With damp hands, shape small patties. Quickly dip them in lightly beaten egg, then coat in flour or breadcrumbs. Immediately place them in a preheated skillet with olive oil.
Step 6
Sear on both sides over medium heat until golden brown (about 3–4 minutes on each side), then cover and let them cook on low heat for 4–5 minutes.
Step 7
Transfer to a paper towel for a minute to absorb any excess fat.
