Description
Turkey Rolls with Spinach and Broccoli
Ingredients
- Turkey - 1 piece
- Fresh basil leaves - 1 bunch
- Cream - 1 fl oz
- Broccoli - 10.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Ground Nutmeg - to taste
- Butter - to taste
- Breadcrumbs - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the turkey fillet lengthwise, but not all the way through.
Step 2
Gently pound the fillet on both sides. Season with salt, pepper, and a light sprinkle of nutmeg.
Step 3
Sauté the spinach in butter for 5 minutes, add the cream, and simmer for a few more minutes. If using frozen spinach, cook until it becomes soft. Boil the broccoli.
Step 4
Blend the cooked vegetables in a blender until smooth. If the filling is too runny, add a few tablespoons of breadcrumbs.
Step 5
Spread the vegetable filling on the turkey and roll it tightly into a log. Wrap the roll in foil.
Step 6
Place the prepared roll in a baking dish. Pour a little water (about 1–2 cm) into the bottom and bake in the oven for 60–80 minutes at 392°F.
