Description
This skewers recipe is very simple; it turns out incredibly tender, with a subtle yet noticeable aroma of mint. You can also use chicken instead of turkey. It pairs wonderfully with a sauce made from garlic, sour cream, and fresh herbs (300 grams of sour cream, 3 cloves of garlic minced, and a couple of sprigs each of basil, mint, and dill chopped). Enjoy your meal!
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 2 lbs
- Kefir - 10 fl oz
- Fresh Mint - 1 bunch
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the turkey into pieces about 3 cm wide. Chop or tear the mint by hand. Place the meat in a deep bowl, pour in the kefir, add the mint, salt, and pepper. You can marinate it for a night, a day, or two — the marinade is not intense, so it won't have a strong flavor after prolonged marination.
Step 2
Skewer the meat and grill it over coals like regular kebabs. Serve immediately with a vegetable salad or a light grain side dish (rice, bulgur).
