Turkey with Bacon
Ingredients
- Turkey - 14.1 oz
- Bacon - 3.5 oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Sumac - to taste
- Mixed Ground Peppers - to taste
- Onion - 1 piece
- Suluguni Cheese - 3.5 oz
- Cilantro - to taste
- Sour Cream - 3 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Dijon Mustard - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place diced bacon in a preheated skillet. Fry for 2–3 minutes over high heat. Stir and remove from heat after another minute.
Step 2
Transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Add diced turkey to the rendered bacon fat in the skillet. Season with salt and fry for 2–3 minutes over high heat.
Step 4
Chop the onion coarsely.
Step 5
Add the onion to the skillet, season with sumac and mixed peppers.
Step 6
Stir and reduce the heat to medium. Fry for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 7
Add sour cream, mustard, and mayonnaise.
Step 8
Stir. Simmer, stirring, for about 5 minutes.
Step 9
Add the diced suluguni cheese.
Step 10
Cover with a lid and simmer for 2–3 minutes over low heat until the cheese melts.
Step 11
Transfer to a plate, garnish with herbs, add bacon, and serve hot.
