Description
A very easy and quick dish from Turkish cuisine, similar to Levantine tabbouleh – the traditional kisir salad. It is made with bulgur, parsley, and tomato paste. From our 'Golden Thousand'.
Ingredients
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 3 fl oz
- Bulgur - 7.1 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - ½ spoons
- Shallot - 2 heads
- Parsley - 1.1 oz
- Cucumbers - 7.1 oz
- Scallions - 1.1 oz
- Narshehab sauce - 2 spoons
- Lemon - ½ pieces
- Chili Flakes - 2 spoons
- Dried Rosemary - 1 tablespoon
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the red pepper and chili.
Step 3
Blend together with a tablespoon of water, a teaspoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of sugar.
Step 4
Then transfer the mixture to a small saucepan and place it over heat. Cook down, stirring constantly, until the paste thickens, which will take about 20–30 minutes. Pass the finished pepper paste through a sieve.
Step 5
Cook the bulgur according to the package instructions.
Step 6
Then mix the hot bulgur with tomato paste, pepper paste, narsharab, olive oil, the juice of half a lemon, and all the spices. Allow to cool.
Step 7
Finely chop the green bell pepper and cucumbers.
Step 8
Chop the shallots, green onions, and parsley.
Step 9
Mix with the cooled bulgur.
Step 10
Serve.
