Description
Udon is a classic Japanese noodle, but its roots are in China: around the 9th century, a Buddhist monk brought the noodle recipe to Japan.
Ingredients
- Udon Noodles - 10.6 oz
- Chicken fillet - 8.8 oz
- Sweet Pepper - 2 pieces
- Chinese green beans - 1.8 oz
- Pak choi salad - 2.8 oz
- Baby Corn - 1.8 oz
- Peanut Sprouts - 1.1 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Oyster Mushrooms - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions, drain in a colander, and set aside. Cut the beans, bell peppers, and corn into thick strips, and slice the pak choy leaves lengthwise.
Step 2
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces and fry them in a deep skillet with oil for about five minutes until cooked through. Add all the vegetables to the skillet except for the pak choi, and sauté on high heat, stirring, for about three minutes.
Step 3
Add the cooked noodles to the chicken and vegetables, mix well, and then add the pak choi to the skillet. Pour in the oyster sauce, gently mix again, taking care not to turn everything into mush, and then add the soy sauce. Serve immediately.
