Udon Noodles with Chicken
Ingredients
- Udon Noodles - 10.6 oz
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 14.1 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Scallions - 1 bunch
- Soy Sauce - 5 tablespoons
- Yakiniku sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 4 fl oz
- Toasted Sesame - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Add the noodles to boiling salted water and cook for 3 minutes, then drain and rinse.
Step 2
Chop the vegetables. Dice the onion, press the garlic (or grate it finely), slice the green onion (4–5 stalks) into rings, and cut the bell pepper (you can use half red and half yellow if desired) and carrot into strips about 3–4 cm long and 1 cm wide.
Step 3
Cut the chicken breast into strips about 3–4 cm long and 1 cm wide.
Step 4
In a large deep skillet, sauté the onion and garlic in vegetable oil until the onion is translucent, then add the bell pepper, carrot, green onion, and chicken breast. Sauté until the chicken changes color.
Step 5
Add the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce to the skillet, season with salt to taste, and stir. Pour in half a cup of water, reduce the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Add the cooked noodles and sesame seeds to the skillet, stir, and simmer for another 3 minutes.
