Ingredients
- Veal - 14.1 oz
- Smoked pork knuckle - 7.1 oz
- White Cabbage - ½ kg
- Salad Potatoes - 6 pieces
- Turnips - 3 pieces
- Rutabaga - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Water - 1 qt
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Herbs - 1 bunch
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut all the meat and vegetables into large pieces.
Step 2
In a skillet with oil, brown the veal.
Step 3
Transfer to a pot, add the smoked meat; you can use not only ribs but also other smoked meats, such as smoked loin.
Step 4
Peel and cut the onion into large half-rings, cut the cabbage into wedges, and add them to the pot.
Step 5
Add water and simmer on low heat for 25-30 minutes.
Step 6
Peel the carrots, rutabaga, and potatoes, and cut them into large wedges. Add to the pot and stew for another 20-30 minutes.
Step 7
Season with salt and pepper, and let it cook for another 10 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
Step 8
Garnish with herbs (parsley, celery, dill) on the plate.
