Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 11.1 oz
  • Sour Cream - 2.6 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
  • Butter - 3.5 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Sift the flour, make a well in the center, and pour in 120 ml of water, 30 g of melted butter, and 2 eggs beaten with a heaping teaspoon of salt. Mix this with the flour, then knead until a smooth, not too stiff dough forms.

Step 2

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/2 cm and cut it into small pieces of any shape.

Step 3

Drop the pieces of dough (dumplings) into salted boiling water and cook at a gentle boil for about 10 minutes. When the dumplings float to the surface, transfer them with a slotted spoon to a colander or sieve to drain.

Step 4

Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pot or skillet, add the dumplings, tossing them gently in the pan, lightly brown them, and serve.

Step 5

You can add sour cream to the hot dumplings dressed in butter. The butter can be replaced with fried pork lard (cracklings), cut into small cubes, and used to dress the dumplings along with the cracklings.
