Veal with Parmesan
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Cayenne Pepper - a pinch
- Brown Sugar - a pinch
- Baking Tomatoes - 14.1 oz
- Oregano - 3 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour - 1.4 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Breadcrumbs - 2.3 oz
- Veal Cutlets - 4 pieces
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.2 oz
- Melted Cheese - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F.
Step 2
In a small skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds. Add cayenne pepper, sugar, tomatoes, and half of the oregano, mix well, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with spices.
Step 3
Place the flour in a bowl and add spices. In another bowl, beat the eggs with 2 tablespoons of water. Mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining oregano and spices and place in a third bowl.
Step 4
Place the meat between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and pound to a thickness of 5 mm. Dip the meat first in the seasoned flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
Step 5
Heat the remaining olive oil in a large skillet and fry the cutlets until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a baking dish in a single layer and pour the sauce over the top. Sprinkle with mozzarella, and then with Parmesan. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
