Ingredients
- Veal - 17.6 oz
- Tomato Puree - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Milk - ½ cup
- White bread - 3.5 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the veal into thin pieces the size of a palm and gently pound them.
Step 2
Prepare the filling: finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil; soak pieces of stale bread in milk and, after squeezing out the excess moisture, mix with the onion, season with salt and pepper, mix well, place in a pan, and sauté over low heat.
Step 3
On each slice of meat, place a tablespoon of the prepared filling, roll the meat into tubes, tie with string, and salt. Then place in a pan with heated oil and quickly fry over high heat on all sides until a golden crust forms.
Step 4
After that, reduce the heat, add 1 cup of meat broth, tomato puree, and simmer until tender for 40-50 minutes. Serve on the table, removing the strings and pouring over the juice obtained during simmering. Serve a separate spicy tomato sauce.
