Vegan Tofu Steak
Ingredients
- Tofu - 5.3 oz
- Corn Starch - 1.1 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 17 fl oz
- Tamarind Paste - 1 tablespoon
- Coconut Milk - 5 fl oz
- Daikon - 1.8 oz
- Carrot - 1.8 oz
- Cilantro - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, mix the curry paste with coconut milk and heat it up.
Step 3
In another saucepan, heat the oil.
Step 4
Grate the carrot using a Korean grater.
Step 5
Grate the daikon using the same grater.
Step 6
Mix the carrot with the daikon.
Step 7
Coat the piece of tofu with cornstarch on all sides.
Step 8
Lower the tofu into the hot oil and fry until it is evenly covered with a golden crust on all sides.
Step 9
Drain the tofu on a paper towel and place it on a plate, drizzling with curry sauce, and arrange the carrot and daikon beside it.
Step 10
Serve the tofu steak immediately, garnished with cilantro leaves.
