Ingredients
- Potato - 17.6 oz
- Carrot - 3 pieces
- Rutabaga - 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 heads
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 3 spoons
- Chicken Broth - 2 glasses
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Various vegetables can be used for the stew, depending on the season — carrots, turnips, rutabagas, cabbage (cauliflower, green cabbage), green beans, onions, and potatoes.
Step 2
Cleaned and washed vegetables should be cut into large cubes or wedges, and the small onions should be left whole.
Step 3
Sauté the carrots, turnips, and swedes, boil the cabbage and beans in water, and fry the potatoes and onions in a pan with oil.
Step 4
In a separate pan, toast the flour and then dilute it with the broth from the stewed or boiled vegetables. Add finely chopped tomatoes or tomato puree and bring to a boil.
Step 5
Pour the prepared sauce over the vegetables placed in a single pot, add salt, pepper, 3–4 cloves, and a piece of cinnamon. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
Step 6
When serving, sprinkle the vegetables with chopped parsley.
