Description
Instead of soaking, you can briefly boil the lentils and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- Lentils - 5.3 oz
- Rice - ½ glasses
- Carrot - 2 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 3 spoons
- Water - 1 qt
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - ½ spoons
- Spices - ½ g
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the lentils overnight, then blend them in the morning until smooth.
Step 2
Boil the rice.
Step 3
In a separate skillet, heat sunflower oil and add grated carrots. Sauté for 10 minutes, then add spices.
Step 4
Mix the lentils, salt, rice, and half of the sautéed carrots.
Step 5
Shape the resulting mixture into small hedgehogs.
Step 6
In the skillet with the remaining half of the carrot, add the tomato paste, salt, sugar, and pour in water. Bring to a boil. Cook the sauce for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to low.
Step 7
Now we can place our meatballs in the skillet. The tops of the meatballs should not be covered with sauce. Cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 8
Then, we open the lid and gently drizzle the sauce over the tops of the veggie hedgehogs using a spoon. We do this carefully to avoid damaging our vegetarian hedgehogs, and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Step 9
Once again, open the lid and drizzle the tops of the hedgehogs. Close the lid and simmer for the last 10 minutes. The total cooking time is 30 minutes.
