Ingredients
- Wheat Groats - 10.6 oz
- Semolina - 1.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Garlic - 5 cloves
- Sea Salt - 0.2 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - 0.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the wheat groats until they reach a thick consistency (add a little water while cooking). Then let it sit for a while to absorb any excess moisture.
Step 2
Add salt, pepper, and grate the garlic finely. The amount of spices depends on your taste, but I recommend adding more spices since the wheat porridge has a very mild flavor!
Step 3
After that, shape small cutlets about 2 cm thick by hand (this amount makes about 18 pieces), lightly coat them in semolina or breadcrumbs, and fry them in oil.
Step 4
Since the cutlets are essentially already cooked, fry them for just a couple of minutes on each side until they have a light golden crust. It's best to serve them hot, either with a side dish or as a standalone dish.
