However, cucumbers are available all year round, and canned red beans are too, so you can create a countryside mood in just two minutes: add chopped herbs, capers, and onions to the mix, and prepare a dressing made of Dijon mustard, vinegar, olive oil, and maple syrup.   • Red Canned Beans - 14.1 oz
  • Capers - 3 spoons
  • Onion - ½ heads
  • Cucumbers - 7.1 oz
  • Parsley - 2.1 oz
  • Oregano - ½ spoons
  • Red Wine Vinegar - 2 fl oz
  • Olive Oil - 2 fl oz
  • Dijon Mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Finely chop the onion.

Pour cold water over the onions and let them sit for 5 minutes, then drain the water. This step helps to remove some of the 'raw' aroma of the onions so that it doesn't overpower the salad.
