Description
A cocktail from the novel by an American author, inspired by a famous secret agent and named after a character named Vesper Lind. Vermouth is the closest substitute for the aperitif 'Kina Lillet,' which is used in the original recipe and can be hard to find. In addition to vermouth, you can also use dry white wine mixed with five to six drops of orange bitters (the orange kind, not aromatic) — this will make the flavor even more interesting.
Ingredients
- Gin - 2 fl oz
- Vodka - 1 fl oz
- Dry martini - 0 fl oz
- Lemon - ½ pieces
- Ice - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour gin, vodka, and dry vermouth into a shaker filled two-thirds with ice (you can add a piece of lemon peel for aroma) and shake well several times.
Step 2
Strain the cocktail through a strainer (also known as a bar sieve) into a chilled martini glass.
Step 3
From half a lemon, cut a long strip of the peel, then cut a strip about one centimeter wide and spritz the cocktail with the juice from the peel — just a little twist is enough. The resulting curl can be used as a garnish.
