Vietnamese Papaya Salad
Ingredients
- Steaks - 15 oz
- Fish Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Shallot - 1 piece
- Spices - to taste
- Papaya flesh - 25 oz
- Radish - 10 oz
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 10 fl oz
- Roasted Peanuts - 5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the steak into strips and mix with 2 tablespoons of fish sauce, sugar, minced garlic, minced shallot, and a mixture of WOK spices. Let marinate for 2 hours.
Step 2
Peel the papaya and radish and cut them into very thin strips. Slice the chili pepper into thin rings and mix together with the papaya, radish, soy sauce, remaining fish sauce, and the juice of one lime.
Step 3
Remove the meat from the marinade, grill on a grill pan (about 1 minute on each side), and then briefly fry. Chop the nuts and mix with the papaya salad. Divide everything onto 4 plates (meat on top) and serve.
