Description
Wheat dumplings with braised mushrooms and rosemary
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Fresh Mushrooms - 2 lbs
- Rosemary - 0.2 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Whisk the milk with the eggs, add the flour, a pinch of salt, and use a whisk to turn everything into a liquid batter.
Step 2
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then reduce the heat so that the water is just simmering. Use a slotted spoon with large holes to drop the dumpling dough into the gently bubbling water. Cook the dumplings for one minute, then transfer them to paper towels to absorb any excess water.
Step 3
In a skillet, sauté finely chopped onion in olive oil until soft, then add sprigs of rosemary and mushrooms. Cook the mushrooms until done, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Melt the butter in a skillet and gently sauté the finely chopped garlic in it, then add the dumplings to the skillet, toss them with the butter, and serve with mushrooms.
