  • Water - 1 qt
  • Onion - 2 heads
  • Carrot - 2 pieces
  • Butter - 2.8 oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the carrots and onions, finely chop them, and lightly sauté in butter.

Step 2

Add the rinsed wheat groats to boiling salted water and cook until thickened. Then combine with the carrots and onions, mix well, and place in the oven for 50 minutes.

Step 3

Serve the cooked porridge on a plate, drizzle with melted butter, and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
