  • Wheat Groats - 2 cups
  • Water - 3½ cups
  • Rutabaga - 1 piece
  • Maple syrup - 3 tablespoons
  • Butter - 3 tablespoons
  • Sage - 1 tablespoon
  • Cayenne Pepper - a pinch

Step by Step guide

Step 1

To prepare the porridge, bring the water to a boil in a medium-sized pot.

Then stir in the wheat groats and add the chopped rutabaga.

Step 3

Cook until all the liquid is absorbed and the groats are softened.

Step 4
