- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 17.6 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Butter - 1.1 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Spanish onions - 2 heads
- Wheat Flour - 8 fl oz
- Chicken Broth - 8 fl oz
- Worcestershire Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Dijon Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Thyme - to taste
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the pork sausages in a baking dish, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and put in a preheated oven for 10 minutes at 392°F.
Step 2
For the batter: mix 240 ml of flour, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 240 ml of milk in a food processor. Pour the batter over the sausages and return to the oven for another 30 minutes.
Step 3
Prepare the onion sauce: finely chop 2 small red onions and grate a small clove of garlic. Sauté the onion in butter until soft, then add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds. Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, and mix for 2-3 minutes, then pour in the chicken broth, stirring to avoid lumps, season with salt and pepper, add dried thyme to taste, and cook until thickened for about 5 minutes. Serve in a sauceboat alongside the Yorkshire pudding with sausages.
