Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare a traditional sauté of carrot and onion. Add the minced meat and simmer, adding chicken broth as it evaporates. It is important to simmer, not fry; the meat and vegetables are already cooked, and we are processing the rice, allowing it to absorb the juices from the meat. We need it to cook for about 3/4 of the way.
Step 2
Place the minced meat into the zucchini rings.
Step 3
Bake on the lower heat for about 40 minutes at 356°F. It is important not to turn on the grill or upper heat, otherwise the filling will harden and dry out on top. In general, it's useful to keep an eye on it during the process, and if it starts to dry out, pour some of the released juices or chicken broth over it.
