- Salt - to taste
- Milk - 17 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Safflower Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Courgette - 4 lbs
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the zucchini and slice it into thin rounds. Place them in a pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and then drain immediately. Transfer the slices to a baking dish.
Step 2
Make the Béchamel sauce: melt the butter in a saucepan along with the sunflower oil, stir in the flour, and cook, stirring for 2 minutes. Slowly pour in the milk while constantly stirring, and cook the sauce for another 10 minutes.
Step 3
Pour the sauce over the zucchini and sprinkle everything with grated cheese. Bake at 392°F for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese melts and turns golden. Serve immediately in the same dish.
