Apple Mint Iced Tea
Ingredients
- Apple juice with pulp - 1 qt
- Powdered Sugar - ½ cup
- Grated Ginger Root - 2.5 oz
- Black tea - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh Mint - 0.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine apple juice, powdered sugar, and 2 cups of cold water in a saucepan over low heat.
Step 2
Stir for 3-4 minutes until the powdered sugar dissolves. This is what the standard recipe says, but I recommend adding sugar at the end to avoid it being too sweet. In fact, you can skip the sugar altogether.
Step 3
Add the ginger, bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat, add the tea and mint, and let steep for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Pour into a pitcher (straining), cover, and refrigerate overnight or until completely chilled.
Step 6
Serve with ice and mint leaves.
