Ingredients
- Apple - 17.6 oz
- White bread - 7.1 oz
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Rice - 2 tablespoons
- Citrus Zest Mix - to taste
- Cinnamon - to taste
- Water - 4 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the apples, preferably Antonovka, cut them into pieces, remove the seeds, place them in a pot, and add the chopped white bread (without crusts); you can also add the lemon zest or a few pieces of cinnamon. Then pour in 4 cups of hot water, cover with a lid, and cook until the apples are soft.
Step 2
Next, remove the pot from the heat, take out the zest or cinnamon pieces, and strain everything through a sieve. Place the resulting purée back into the pot, add sugar, dilute with hot water to the desired consistency of the purée soup, and bring to a boil.
Step 3
When serving, place a tablespoon of separately cooked rice into each bowl. Sour cream can be served with the soup.
