Ingredients
- Arborio rice - 10.6 oz
- Pickled Apples - 3 pieces
- Dry White Wine - 13 fl oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Spices - to taste
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Apple juice with pulp - 13 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the cookware and ingredients. Rinse the rice. Wash the apples but do not peel them. Finely chop the onion and chicken fillet.
Step 2
Sauté the onion in oil in a skillet, without browning it. Add the chicken and a little more oil. Cook until the fillet turns white.
Step 3
Start pouring in the wine. Lower the heat and let the wine evaporate almost completely.
Step 4
Add the rice to the skillet. Pour in more wine and let it evaporate almost entirely again.
Step 5
When the wine is nearly gone, add the apple juice.
Step 6
Now it's time to peel the apples and cut them into large cubes. (Note: if you cut the apples in advance, they won't turn out as well. However, if you prepare all the ingredients before cooking, place the apple pieces in a disposable food bag to minimize oxidation. You can store them in the refrigerator.)
Step 7
The juice is also nearly gone. Add the chopped apples and pour in more juice. Cook on low heat until ready.
Step 8
Plate the servings and garnish (a mint leaf, ground black pepper — your choice).
Step 9
Serve the dish.
