Ingredients
- Artichoke bottoms - 8.8 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 fl oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - 0.4 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Béchamel sauce - 17 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Clean the artichokes. Place them in cold water, add salt and lemon juice, and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 2
Drain, cut, and distribute into 4-6 small ovenproof dishes.
Step 3
Add lemon juice and zest, then pour the béchamel sauce over the artichokes to cover them completely.
Step 4
Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, add pieces of butter, and place under the broiler until light brown.
Step 5
Serve with lemon wedges and hot toast.
