This simple appetizer recipe to enjoy with wine was shared with us by food blogger and MasterChef participant, Emily Smith.
Ingredients
- French Baguette - 1 piece
- Melted Cheese - 10 oz
- Fresh basil leaves - 1 bunch
- Herbes de Provence - to taste
- Olive Oil - 5 fl oz
- Parsley - 1 bunch
- Cilantro - 1 bunch
- Pistachios - 5 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Make diagonal cuts along the entire length of the baguette. Cut the mozzarella into small pieces.
Step 2
Insert a piece of mozzarella and a basil leaf into each slit.
Step 3
Sprinkle with Provence herbs and salt, drizzle with olive oil, and place in a convection oven preheated to 355°F for 10 minutes. The cheese should melt, and the bread should become golden brown.
Step 4
Blend parsley, cilantro, garlic, and pine nuts with olive oil and season with salt to taste. Serve with warm baguette.
