Baked fennel with parmesan and thyme
Ingredients
- Fennel - 3 pieces
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.4 oz
- Thyme - 4 sprigs
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 446°F.
Step 2
Cut the fennel in half lengthwise and boil until tender for 15 minutes. Drain and dry with a paper towel.
Step 3
Grease a baking sheet with butter and place the fennel halves cut side down. Also brush the tops with softened butter, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with parmesan and finely chopped thyme.
Step 4
Bake until golden brown for about 20 minutes.
