Ingredients
- French Baguette - 14.1 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Garlic - 1.8 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - a pinch
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take the butter out of the refrigerator to soften it. Preheat the oven to 338°F.
Step 2
Cut the tops off the heads of garlic so that the tip of each clove is visible. Place the heads on a baking sheet lined with foil and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 50 minutes, or until the garlic is soft.
Step 3
Once the garlic has cooled, squeeze the cloves out of their skins and chop roughly.
Step 4
Grate the cheese and chop the parsley. Mix the butter, garlic, cheese, parsley, and salt together.
Step 5
Slice the bread and arrange the slices on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 464°F or turn on the broiler.
Step 6
Spread the garlic butter on the slices of bread.
Step 7
Bake in the oven or under the broiler for 3–4 minutes or until toasted.
