- Smoked Ham on the Bone - 7 lbs
- Brown Sugar - 15.9 oz
- Ground clove - 48 pieces
- Yellow Mustard Seeds - 7.1 oz
- Cola - 8 fl oz
- Bourbon - 6 fl oz
- Fresh Bay Leaf - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Trim excess fat from the ham and make shallow crosshatch cuts on the surface. Insert a clove into each intersection. Place in a greased baking dish.
Step 3
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, mustard, cola, and bourbon. Brush the mixture over the ham.
Step 4
Bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes, basting with the drippings every 15-20 minutes.
Step 5
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes. Garnish with bay leaves before serving.
