Ingredients
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Kohlrabi - 4 pieces
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Ham - 8.1 oz
- Whole egg - 3 pieces
- Cream (40%) - 1 cup
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Nutmeg - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Peel the kohlrabi and cut it into small cubes.
Step 3
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the kohlrabi, stirring, for 8–10 minutes.
Step 4
In a bowl, beat the egg whites and add the cream, flour, a little nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Step 5
Cut the ham into small pieces.
Step 6
In a greased glass baking dish, place half of the kohlrabi, then a layer of ham sprinkled with parsley, and another layer of kohlrabi. Pour the cream sauce over it and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately.
