Description
Serve as follows: pour a little chicken broth into a bowl, add the manti, and drizzle everything with matzun sauce. Add any spices to taste.
Ingredients
- Beef - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Red Long Chili Peppers - to taste
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Water - 1 cup
- Large eggs - 1 piece
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Matsuni - 8 fl oz
- Clarified Butter - 5.3 oz
- Chicken Broth - 5 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the filling, grind the beef in a meat grinder, add finely chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper and oil. Mix everything thoroughly and refrigerate for an hour.
Step 2
For the dough, mix flour, egg, and water in a bowl. Add ingredients as needed. The dough should have the same consistency as, say, for dumplings.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into a thin layer. Cut small squares, about 2–3 centimeters on each side. Add meat to each square, seal the edges to form a sort of boat.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet generously with butter. Arrange the manti so that they do not touch each other. Place in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes. It's best to keep an eye on the manti—they should become crispy and slightly brown in color.
