Description
Baked Onion Rings
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4.8 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 teaspoon
- Dessert Yogurt - 8 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Onion - 3 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Corn Nacho Chips - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F. In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup of flour, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of chili pepper. In another medium bowl, combine the yogurt, eggs, and 0.5 cup + 2 tablespoons of flour. Whisk until a smooth batter forms.
Step 2
Crush the chips well. Peel the onions and slice them into rings about 1 centimeter thick. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush it with vegetable oil. Place it in the hot oven for 8 minutes, or until the oil starts to sizzle. Meanwhile, coat the onion rings in the flour mixture from the large bowl.
Step 3
Dip each ring into the batter and let the excess drip off. Then coat the rings in the crushed chips.
Step 4
Place the prepared rings on the baking sheet and bake each side until golden brown for about 8 minutes on average.
Step 5
Sprinkle with salt while the onion rings are still hot. Serve with any interesting sauce. You can mix plain yogurt with spices.
