Baked Sweet Peppers with Feta, Cottage Cheese, and Egg
Ingredients
- Sweet Peppers - 5 pieces
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Feta cheese - 3.5 oz
- Cottage cheese - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Clean the peppers and cut off the tops. Sauté the peppers in a hot pan with oil for about 3-4 minutes.
Step 2
Mix the feta cheese with the cottage cheese in equal parts to reduce the saltiness of the filling. You can use just feta cheese; a 100% feta filling is a classic for baked peppers.
Step 3
Stuff the peppers with the cheese mixture and place them in the oven (temperature – 200-428°F). Do not grease the baking tray, as the peppers are already coated in oil.
Step 4
After about 30 minutes, pour the beaten egg into the peppers. One egg will be enough for all the peppers. Bake for another 15 minutes.
