  • Walnuts - 3.5 oz
  • Olive Oil - 3 fl oz

  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Thoroughly wash the basil leaves and dry them.

Step 2

Grate the Parmesan cheese.

Step 3

Crush the walnuts in a mortar.

Step 4

Crush the garlic in a press.

Step 5

Place the basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and walnuts into the blender.

Step 6

Add olive oil to the mixture.

Step 7

Finely chop the mixture.

Step 8

Add salt and ground black pepper.

Step 9

Shape the mixture into quenelles or balls.

Step 10

Arrange the pkhali on a plate and serve with croutons or lavash.
