Ingredients

  • White Beans - 15.9 oz
  • Lentils - 10.6 oz
  • Beef tongue - 1 piece
  • Cured beef - 14.1 oz
  • Carrot - 2 pieces
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Ghee - 1.8 oz
  • Tomatoes - 4 pieces
  • Cilantro - 1 bunch

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Soak the beans overnight in cold water, then drain and boil the beans in four liters of water for one hour. Separately, cook the lentils for 20 minutes. Cut the smoked meat into large cubes and add it to the beans, cooking for an additional 15–20 minutes.

Grate the carrot using a coarse grater, chop the onion, and sauté them in clarified butter, stirring occasionally.

Coarsely chop the tomatoes and add them to the pot with the beans. Also, add the sautéed vegetables and cooked lentils. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and cook for another 10 minutes.

Chop the cilantro, add it to the soup, simmer for a couple more minutes, and serve.
