- White Beans - 17.6 oz
- Tomatoes - 4 lbs
- Onion - 17.6 oz
- Sweet Pepper - 17.6 oz
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 2 spoons
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 8 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Soak the beans in cold water overnight.
Step 2
Peel the onion. Remove the seeds and stem from the bell pepper. Cut the onion and pepper into 2 cm cubes.
Step 3
Dice the tomatoes into the same size cubes.
Step 4
Place the chopped vegetables in a pot.
Step 5
Add the beans, drained, to the vegetables.
Step 6
Add salt, sugar, tomato paste, and vegetable oil. Mix well.
Step 7
Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer covered on low heat until the beans are cooked.
Step 8
Sterilize the jars and lids over steam for 15–20 minutes.
Step 9
Distribute the beans with vegetables into sterilized jars, seal them, and cover with a blanket until the jars cool completely.
Step 10
Store the beans with vegetables in a cool, dark place.
