Ingredients
- Margarine - 2 tablespoons
- White Cabbage - 7.9 oz
- Turnips - 2 pieces
- Celery stalk - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Beetroot - 15.9 oz
- Baking Tomatoes - 15.9 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Campbell's Beef Broth - 30 fl oz
- Water - 12 fl oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In melted margarine in a pot, sauté the shredded cabbage, thinly sliced carrots and celery, and diced onion, stirring frequently until the vegetables are soft.
Step 2
Add the julienned beetroot, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, sugar, salt, pepper, and water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes.
Step 3
Pour part of the soup into a blender and puree. Heat in a clean pot, sprinkle with herbs, and serve with sour cream.
