Ingredients
- Salted pork belly - 17.6 oz
- Salad Potatoes - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 3.5 oz
- Sauerkraut - 14.1 oz
- Celery salt - 1.8 oz
- Carrot - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Bay leaf - to taste
- Green peppercorns - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into small pieces and fry in a pan without oil.
Step 2
Place the fried meat in a pot, pour in boiling water, add the sauerkraut, and simmer on low heat.
Step 3
Cut the potatoes into strips and boil them in a separate pot.
Step 4
In a pan, sauté the onion, celery root, and carrot in butter.
Step 5
Add everything to the pot, season with salt if needed, add boiling water (the thickness of the soup can be adjusted to taste), black peppercorns, and bay leaf.
Step 6
Simmer the soup on low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Serve the boyar's soup with fresh rye bread, sour cream, crushed garlic, and fresh dill.
