Description
Burgers with fish sauce
Ingredients
- Lean Beef - 10.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Pork Mince - 7.1 oz
- Mayonnaise - 1.8 oz
- White bread - 1.8 oz
- Sesame bun - 4 pieces
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Ginger - 0.7 oz
- Cilantro - 1.8 oz
- Napa Cabbage - ½ pieces
- Fish Oil - 2 spoons
- Cayenne Pepper - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine the ground beef and lamb with finely chopped onion, garlic, cilantro, ginger, and breadcrumbs. Add fish sauce, an egg, salt, black pepper, and mix again.
Step 2
Shape the mixture into four flat patties and fry them in vegetable oil until cooked through. The frying time will vary depending on the thickness and size of the patties, as well as other factors. To check if the patties are done, pierce one with a toothpick; the juices should run clear.
Step 3
Cut the sesame buns in half and warm them in the oven. Mix mayonnaise with lemon juice and cayenne pepper, then spread it on the bottom half of the bun. On top of the mayonnaise, layer thinly sliced tomatoes and a patty, followed by leaves of cabbage (or romaine lettuce). Finally, place the other half of the bun on top, also spread with mayonnaise.
