- White Cabbage - 1⅕ kg
- Salt - 1½ spoons
- Sugar - 2 spoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Carrot - 7.1 oz
- Sweet Pepper - 2 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - 3 fl oz
- Coriander essential oil - 1 tablespoon
- Mild Chili Spice - 0.1 oz
- Allspice berries - 0.1 oz
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 0.1 oz
- 9% Vinegar - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Remove the outer tough leaves from the cabbage head and cut out the core. Slice the cabbage into 2 cm pieces.
Step 3
Transfer to a large bowl or basin, sprinkle with salt and sugar. Mix by hand, pressing down on the cabbage leaves to release their juice.
Step 4
Wash the carrot, peel it, and cut it into thin strips or grate it using a large grater.
Step 5
Remove the stem and seeds from the sweet pepper, then slice it into strips.
Step 6
Heat a skillet or sauté pan over high heat. Add vegetable oil and let it heat for 30 seconds.
Step 7
Remove the skillet from heat and add the spices to the oil. Stir to combine.
Step 8
Combine the cabbage with the chopped vegetables, drizzle with oil and spices, add the minced garlic, and mix well.
Step 9
Pour in the vinegar and mix again with your hands.
Step 10
Place the prepared salad into sterilized jars, seal with lids, and store in the refrigerator.
Step 11
Serve chilled.
