Caprese Carpaccio with Unagrande Mozzarella
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Melted Cheese - 4.4 oz
- Fresh basil leaves - 2 stems
- Sweet Corn Sticks - 0.5 oz
- Spanish onions - ½ head
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Balsamic Vinegar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the tomatoes into very thin rounds and arrange them carefully on a flat plate.
Step 2
Cut the fresh mozzarella into thicker slices (approximately 1 cm thick) and place them in the center of the plate.
Step 3
Slice the onion into very thin rings and place them over the tomatoes and mozzarella.
Step 4
Season with salt and, if desired, freshly ground black pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Step 5
Remove the tough stems from the basil leaves and garnish the dish with the leaves. Arrange the corn kernels around the edges of the plate. Serve the 'Caprese Carpaccio' immediately.
